Hello from Catherine & Anne

I'm Catherine, the proud daughter of Anne, a remarkable woman who has instilled in me a sense of optimism and wonder. My mom has entrusted me to help her navigate the journey she is on with vascular dementia. I hope DementiaLove honours my mom and helps others.

I bring 35 years of diverse experience to this labour of love. I have been the executive director for three national health charities, founded two of my own Canadian charities, and run an organization that offers business development, marketing, design and communications services.

I’ve been directly involved in raising over $65 million and volunteer with local, national and international groups.  I love developing

Anne was an elementary school teacher as well as a talented athlete and a strong competitor.  She is a life-long student and artist.

At 86, she started painting. She created over 140 paintings in less than 18 months then stopped as quickly as she started. She sold most of works and donated the funds to a school that bears her name in Uganda that now offers clean water to a community of more than 700.

Anne was married to her high school sweetheart, Bruce, for 64 years. The couple had three children and five grandchildren.

innovative programs that attract funding, provide meaningful benefits to those in need, and improve quality of life.

In addition to being Anne's daughter, I am a wife, mother and sister of some special people I like and love dearly.

Anne is my effervescent mom and quite simply a beautiful human. She raises the energy of any space she occupies and has the ability to recognize and bring out the best in everyone she meets. Anne has a deep appreciation for the world and people in it.  She is creative, compassionate, courageous, and, she is living with vascular dementia.
